Format[edit]

Seasonal Competitions

According to the available information, four separate competitions take place annually and each seasonal contest is held every three months, with contestants able to partake in any season and in multiple categories.[7] Seasonal competition categories are divided into a level of expertise (Performance Grades 1-8), theme, and age.[8] Eight classical music themes are available for selection to entrants, with an additional two options for chamber music or concerto applicants.[9]

The four age categories are Young Talent (aged 10 and under), Young Artist (aged 10-15), Young Master (aged 15-18) and Master (aged 18-28).[10]

Musician of the Year

The annual competition is open to seasonal winners who have gained 6 award points or more throughout the year.[11] This year-end competition consists of a First Round and a Final Round. The final round is live streamed by True Art TV.[12] It has three categories including Talent (age 9 & under), Artist (age 15 & under) and Master (age 28 & under). First Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize are given to each category. An audience vote is opened to the public, which helps to determine the final prize when there is a tie from the jury panel decision. Audience vote is used to determine a Fans’ Favourite Award.[13]

World Musician's Ranking

The Performance Mark Ranking and Award Points Ranking are calculated after every seasonal competition.[14] The World Musicians Annual Ranking awards are calculated based on the total scores of musicians in both seasonal competitions and annual competition in the same competition year.[15]
