Ranking Latinos is a reality and entertainment celebrity contest.

History[edit]

It is a celebrity contest in the Spanish-speaking Dominican reality entertainment world that started on Instagram from 2020 to date, and then continued in 2021 on Twitter. This concept had initiative within the quarantine due to the great collapse that COVID-19 has had throughout the world, since the artists had to cancel all their live concerts including their presentations in some programs, one of our mission at the beginning of this social project is to have fans even closer to their artists, for this reason the Ranking Latinos was born.

Ranking Latinos unites more than 200 Latino celebrities from around the Spanish-speaking world, competing in rounds of weekly battles to win the Ranking Latino title. Each week, the viewing audience votes for their favorites, and one or more contestants are eliminated. The winner or winner is established as the most outstanding Latin artist or celebrity on social networks. The contestants in the contest are Hispanic and Latin American, however, contestants who are not from Latin countries are not included.

After the nominations in more than 7 countries around the world between 6-4 finalists can go to the grand final and live that experience together in which they receive the different congratulations and support from their followers around the world. The finalists compete against each other in the same final round. After posting, the public gets to vote for their favorite contestants via email, website, or text. The public intends to vote based on the delegate, and not on their nationality, so they are allowed to have more than one contestant from the same country or have the same nationality. Week by week the 2 finalists with the fewest votes are eliminated, which means that they are already out of the contest until the next season, although in some rare cases, a contestant can be disqualified for bots or scams. Or a double elimination occurs. The show runs between 7-8 episodes, taking into account the pre-nominations made by the followers of each celebrity through social networks or the nomination form for the first episode. After the contestants were reduced to 4 or 3 finalists (2020), from that moment the public decides who will be the winner of the season, taking into account that only four finalists compete in the final. . The winner of the contest wins the title of the most outstanding personality in social networks and be crowned and reign with the title of Latin Ranking for a period of 3 to 4 months. In 2020 and 2021 as an additional bonus the champion taking into account the pre-nominations made by the followers of each celebrity through social networks or the nomination form for the first episode. After the contestants were reduced to 4 or 3 finalists (2020), from that moment the public decides who will be the winner of the season, taking into account that only four finalists compete in the final.

The winner of the contest wins the title of the most outstanding personality in social networks and be crowned and reign with the title of Latin Ranking for a period of 3 to 4 months. In 2020 and 2021 as an additional bonus the champion Dulce María was consecrated as the undefeated queen to become the first Latin celebrity to win three consecutive seasons of the Latino Rankings Twitter and an undefeated champion certificate.
