Lorenzo Babbi (born 21 May 2000) is an Italian footballer who plays as forward for SPAL and the Italian national Under-18.

Club career
Originally from Ravenna, he moved to Cesena, to play at Cesena's youth clubs, at Under-19 level. January 24, 2019, he moved on annual loan to SPAL for free:[2] the agreement provides for the redemption in favor of the Bergamo based club, depending on performance.
International career
In February 2018, he was called up to play for the Italian Under 18 team.[3] He made his national debut on 7 February 2018, against France Under 18, in a drawn match (1-1). He also took part in the game: Italy U18 - Netherlands U18, entering the game in the 78th minute, replacing Davide Merola, in a defeat (3-1). Unfortunately, in the match Libya U20 - Italy U18, (a game he watched from the bench), it was not possible to play, even if the match ended (0-6) for Italy. On 20 February 2019, a month after the loan to SPAL, his retirement from the Italian Under-18 team was announced.
Style of play
His natural role is that of central forward but he can also play as a second forward.[4] His key features are: an excellent field view, generosity and bravery on the ball.
