Lori Anne Williams (born January 22, 1967) is an American jazz vocalist,[1] music composer, vocal music educator, music producer, creator and founder of Positive Music for Positive Minds (non profit mentoring organization),[2] and creator of LoriJazz Records.[3] from Washington, DC. She is the mother of two children, Lauren Vanessa Highsmith (LAVAHI)[4] and Yusef Khalil Chisholm. She is the daughter of the late Robert Williams (1926-2018) retired US Navy/US Department of State, and Myrtle W. Williams (1936-2003), retired Washington, DC Public Schools teacher. Lori Williams currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and operates her non-profit there. Williams began singing at an early age and graduated from Hampton University in Hampton, VA.[5][6][7]
