Louis Sammartino[1] (born February 8, 1995),[2] better known as LosPollosTV, is an American Twitch streamer who is known for playing NBA 2K and Fortnite. Louis has made a name for himself in the Twitch community because of his comedy-filled streams. He is very heavy.
Career
Louis was introduced to Twitch by his brother Jake in 2014 and started streaming NBA 2K soon after. His account started to gain traction in 2015 when he won the NBA2K KOK Championship.[3] He was even invited to move to California to join the group 2Hype in 2017, where he remained for about a year and a half before leaving; during this time he gained more traction as a Fortnite streamer. Los then moved to Hollywood, CA with his friend Raf, where he was based until the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, and moved back in with his parents in New Jersey, where he even bought a house. Los, along with his brother Jake and his father, a stand-up comic in the New York metropolitan area also named Louis, broke Twitch's longest stream record, streaming for 195 hours, 36 minutes, and 17 seconds from March 29th to April 7th, 2020, during a "Sub-A-Thon" where he gained over 6,000 paying subscribers.[4]. Los is known for being a late-night streamer and having one of the most active communities on Twitch, with his streams constantly including arguments between the chat and Louis himself, which result in funny and memorable moments. Los has often played Fortnite with various people, including another popular Twitch streamer, NICKMERCS. Los has also frequently streamed "Just Chatting" on Twitch, including segments like Ask Los, Watching 90 Day Fiancé with his Dad, Sub Sunday (2 dollar donations and subscriber-only mode), a Halloween costume contest, and a virtual spelling bee.
Personal life
Louis recently got a girlfriend, though her name is currently unknown.[5] Before becoming a Twitch streamer, he worked as a dishwasher in a hospital kitchen, continuing until he earned enough money from streaming. He is of Italian and Irish descent. Louis had a grandfather, whom he was very close to, who died in June 2018.[6] He has two brothers, Nick and Jake Sammartino, who are also streamers.
