Des Edward Sokalski (born May 26, 1994), better known by his online alias itsDesTV.[1], is an American Twitch streamer, YouTuber and Content Creator.

Sokalski began in streaming through participating in several esports tournaments in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 under many different Gamertags: (RasALGhoul, imawitlswol & yFF Echo) He gradually picked up fame when he first started playing Fortnite Battle Royale in late 2017. Sokalski's rise in notoriety began in January 2019 when he started streaming full time on Mixer. Since the shut down of Mixer in June of 2020, Sokalski transferred his community over to stream full time on Twitch which he stopped near the end of October. He came back to the Content Creation scene in late January 2021 by posting Tik Toks and YouTube Shorts. Sokalski has over 500 thousand combined followers with over 200 Million views[2]

Early life[edit]

Des Edward Sokalski was born on May 26, 1994 in the Cleveland area, we he stayed for most of his life. His father passed in January of 2020 while he was attending to his first ever Gaming Convention- Pax South. His mother is in good health, living in Cleveland, Ohio as well and a big part of his life. Sokalski also has a sister that is a year and a half younger then him. He attended Eastlake North High School, where he played Baseball and Soccer. Upon graduation, he went to Notre Dame College where he played Baseball and graduated with a Degree in Business Administration and Political Science (minors: Economics and Statistics). During the ending years of college, he was deciding to either go to Law School or pursue a career play video games professionally, entering tournaments, joining professional organizations, and live streaming his games. Where later he decided to go the professional video gamer route.

Esports and Streaming[edit]

Sokalski began playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 at a high level in 2016. Placing very highly in tournaments and wagers on MLG. He received his pro card through MLG, yet he never was picked up by any teams to further his path. Sokalski became a streamer on January of 2019 on Mixer. By the end of Mixers run, Sokalski placed himself within the Top 200 of ALL streamers[3] on the platform which had the likes of: Ninja, The Grefg, Shroud, King Gothalion[4] and many others.[5]

In Mid-2020, Sokalski moved to Twitch where he wasnt seeing any growth after the transition due to the shutdown of Mixer in July 2020[6]. He took some time off near the end of October and into the new year. Nearing the end of January is where he transitioned his brand into more Content Creation like rather then focusing strictly on streaming. He began uploading Fortnite based Tik Toks in the beginning of February and then also transitioned over to YouTube where he creates YouTube Shorts. During this 7 month time frame, Sokalski has amassed 350 thousand followers on Tik Tok and 243 thousand subscribers on YouTube[7][2]. He has also gained a following of just over 15 thousand followers on Twitch.[8]

During this time you were able to see Sokalski do Ad campaigns for companies like: GFuel, Meta Threads & others.

Sokalski joined Team Kungarna in May of 2021-Present as a Content Creator. He is further seen featured on their YouTube[9], Tik Tok[10], Twitter[11] and Instagram[12]. He now creates content and streams full time.

Other appearances[edit]

Recently, Sokalski was the host of a Rocket League Tournament that was put on by a popular cryptocurrency exchange, ShibaSwap. This tournament was streamed to thousands of viewers for a prize pool of $10,000.[13]
