Lost Boys Calling is a song written by Ennio Morricone and Roger Waters for Giuseppe Tornatore's 1998 The Legend of 1900 movie soundtrack,[1] which earned Morricone the Golden Globe award in 2000, in the Best Original Score - Motion Picture category.[2]
It is the last song of the 31-song album with the same name.[3] [4] The vocals are sung by Waters, and the two guitar solos are performed by Eddie Van Halen.
In 2002, Waters presented a demo version of the song in his Flickering Flame: The Solo Years Volume 1 compilation.
In 2018, Morricone used the film's main song (which shares the melody with Lost Boys Calling) as the opening for his 60 Years of Music concert tour.[5]
Morricone and Tornatore have a long-standing creative partnership, which includes the soundtrack for Tornatore's quintessential 1988 Cinema Paradiso.
