Lost In The Spec is a one-act play written by Jack Ferreira. It was first presented with a staged reading on October 11th, 2019 and was first performed on November 25th 2019. Both performances took place at Sacred Heart University. It is Ferreira's first stage play. It was a finalist in Sacred Heart University's new works writing festival, Theatrefest.[1][2][3]
The play is centered around the themes of autism, friendship, and bullying.
History/Development[edit]
The world premiere was directed by Mary Campione and stage-managed by Mackenzie Devries.
The first performance was directed by Liesel Nelis and once again stage-managed by Mackenzie Devries.
The play was originally called "A Distinctive Hopeful Dandy". Due to the 2019-2020 Coronavirus pandemic, A fully produced production was canceled. On April 27th 2020, a recorded reading was released on Facebook & Instagram. It was directed by Andrew Patino and Justin Weigl. It was stage-managed by Grace Curly.[4]
