Lost You Forever (simplified Chinese: 长相思; traditional Chinese: 長相思; pinyin: Chǎng xiàng sī), also known as Chang Xiang Si, is an upcoming Chinese streaming television series co-produced by Tencent and Star Lotus Pictures. The series is directed by Zoe Qin and stars Yang Zi, Zhang Wanyi, Deng Wei and Tan Jianci.[1]

It was adapted from the 2nd book with the same name from the novel series The Book of Mountain and Sea (山经海纪) by Tong Hua.[2] The series is set to premiere on Tencent.[3]

Synopsis[edit]

In ancient times, gods, goddesses, demons, and mythical creatures lived alongside humans, and there were 3 mythical kingdoms -- Sheng Nong, Xuan Yuan, and Gao Xing -- that governed a region of the world.

Whilst travelling through the wilderness, Gao Xin princess Xiao Yao (played by Yang Zi) experienced all kinds of hardships - losing both her identity and true appearance. She eventually settled in Qing Shui Town, disguised as a man called Wen Xiao Liu and became a doctor. In Qingshui Town, Xiao Yao/Wen Xiao Liu accidentally rescues Tu Shan Jing (played by Deng Wei), the future leader of the Tu Shan Clan, encounters Xiang Liu (played by Tan Jianci) , a nine-headed demon, and meets her cousin, Xuan Yuan prince Qiang Xuan (played by Zhang Wanyi) who had been searching for her in the wilderness.

Life is the encounter and separation, it is the starting time and oblivion, but there are always things that once happened, will leave traces, and there will always be a person who once appeared, will be unforgettable - the fated meeting at Qing Shui Town changed the destiny of everyone.
