Lotomania is a popular lottery game in Brazil, which was first introduced by Caixa Econômica Federal.[1] in 1999. The game offers a chance for players to win a substantial jackpot by selecting 50 numbers out of a possible 100.

How to Play[edit]

To play Lotomania, players must purchase a ticket with 50 numbers, ranging from 00 to 99. The objective of the game is to match as many of the selected numbers with the winning numbers that are drawn. The winning numbers are chosen through a random drawing process, with two sets of numbers being drawn.

To win the jackpot, players must match all 20 numbers selected in the first set. There is also a prize for those who do not match any number.[2]

Odds of Winning[edit]

The odds[3] of winning the Lotomania jackpot are quite challenging, as players must match all 20 numbers drawn out of 100. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 11,372,635. However, the game does offer several other prize tiers, with better odds of winning. For example, the odds of winning a prize by matching 16 to 19 of the numbers drawn are approximately 1 in 352[4]

Draws and Prizes[edit]

Lotomania draws take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the results are published on the official Caixa Econômica Federal website. The jackpot amount starts at R$1.000,000,00 and it rolls over until there is a winner. The game also offers various other prize tiers, with the second prize being awarded to players who match 19 of the 20 numbers drawn, and the third prize being awarded to players who match 18 of the 20 numbers drawn.

Lotomania is a popular lottery game in Brazil[5] that offers players a chance to win a substantial jackpot by matching 20 numbers out of a possible 100. Although the odds of winning the jackpot are quite challenging, the game does offer various other prize tiers with better odds of winning. The game is regulated by Caixa Econômica Federal to ensure that it is fair and transparent, and the results are published on their official website. Lotomania is enjoyed by millions of players in Brazil, and it continues to be a popular form of gambling in the country.
