Bishop Louis Vezelis, OFM (January 29, 1930 – January 1, 2013) was a Franciscan friar who became a sedevacantist, believing that the mainstream Catholic Church was illegitimate due to the reforms of Vatican II, and that the papacy was therefore vacant. He was ordained a bishop by fellow sedevacantist George Musey.[1]
He declared the Holocaust to be a hoax, and wrote for the denialist Institute for Historical Review.
"It is quite easy to observe which newspapers are subservient to this modern day hoax. The subject is the so-called 'Holocaust Museum' built on public land 'generously' donated by the US government ... Well-informed American citizens demonstrated [in Washington, DC, on April 22] against the historically false accusations constantly made against the German people and other nationalities whose only real crime was resisting the international gangsters who facetiously call their brand of exploitation 'Communism.'"[2]
