Lowland Farms
Lowland Farms is a small family farm on Johns Island, in Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. Founded in 2011, the 14-acre farm is run by farmer Kenneth "Skinny" Melton and his family, and specializes in heirloom vegetables, flowers, and eggs grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.[1][2]
The farm sells through a community-supported agriculture (CSA) program and supplies restaurants in downtown Charleston.[1][3] In 2017, Lowland Farms formed an informal delivery co-operative with two neighboring small farms to share restaurant deliveries.[3]
