Luca James Lee (born March 26, 1984) is an Australian actor best known for his recurring role on the Freeform series The Bold Type.
Biography[edit]
Lee was born in Subiaco, Western Australia and grew up in the remote town of Broome in the state's North West Kimberley region.
Lee was accepted into Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2005.
Career[edit]
After leaving the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Lee worked in theater productions and as as a voice-over actor for clients such as the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Toyota, Audible.[1] and Goodreads[2]
In 2010, Lee was cast in the film An Excerpt from South Solitary[3][4], written by Australian film writer/director Shirley Barrett.
In early 2018, it was announced[5][6][7][8] that Lee would appear in a recurring role on season 2 of the Freeform series The Bold Type, playing the love interest to Katie Steven's character, Jane Sloan. The season began airing on June 12, 2018 and Lee was subsequently profiled by Romper[6]. Lee character, Dr. Ben Chau, played part of a love triangle between Jane Sloan and her prior love interest from season 1. [9][10]
