Lucy Robson (born March 10, 1995) is a British golfer, model, and social media influencer.[1] She played college golf in the United States for the University of South Florida and Cal Poly Mustangs. Following her collegiate career, she transitioned into media, gaining significant coverage for her digital content and golf-related brand partnerships.[2]
Early life and education
Robson was born in London, England. Her family moved to the United States when she was ten years old, settling in Stuart, Florida.[3]
She attended Jensen Beach High School, where she played varsity golf. Robson was named the Treasure Coast Player of the Year by the Scripps Newspapers in 2011 and 2012. She led her high school team to a second-place finish in the state championship during her junior year.[4]
College career
In 2013, Robson enrolled at the University of South Florida (USF). As a freshman in the 2013–2014 season, she competed in five tournaments, recording a season-low round of 74 at the Cardinal Cup. During her sophomore year, she competed in two tournaments for the Bulls.[5]
Robson transferred to California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) for the 2015–2016 season. Competing for the Cal Poly Mustangs, she played in six tournaments as a junior, averaging 79.8 strokes over 16 rounds. Her highest finish was a tie for 23rd place at the Big West Conference Championship.[3]
Media career
During her time at Cal Poly, Robson began to garner media attention outside of competitive results. In October 2015, she was featured by the Golf Channel and NBC Sports, which significantly increased her social media following.[2][6]
Following her graduation, Robson did not join the LPGA Tour but focused on content creation and golf instruction via social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. She has collaborated with various brands in the golf and fashion industries, including Fashion Nova and Swag Golf.[7]
