Luis Tshita Munana (born 23rd July 1991) is a television personality, entrepreneur, and children's show creator. He co-founded Windhoek Fashion Week.[1] In 2019, he was was named to Forbes's 30 Under 30 influencial young Africans.[2] He represented Namibia at the Big Brother Africa reality show.[3]

Early life and education[edit]

Munana was born on 23rd July 1991 in Rundu, Namibia. He attended his primary school in Rundu at Noordgrens Primary- Secondary School from Grade 1-10, where he was the Head Boy. He moved to Windhoek in 2008, where he attended his Grade 11-12 at Academia High School where again he was appointed as the Deputy Head Boy.

Munana attended the then Polytechnic Of Namibia as a first year in 2010.[4] In 2011, he moved to Cape Town, South Africa at U.C.T where in the same year he transferred to C.P.U.T from which he completed a degree in Financial Analyst.[5]

Career[edit]

Munana started off as a model in South Africa when he was still completing his Finance degree. As a runaway model he, he did World fashion Week Event, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Cape Town & Johannesburg. He also did commercials for PEPSI, Etisalat, TN1 Boxes, MiFone amongst others. His TV background includes him being a TV host for Yo Music Countdown (Namibia) Voigush Africa (Co-founder and presenter. Under Voiguish Africa he also Red Carpet Host at MTV Base All Africa Awards, Metro Fm Awards.[6]

In 2016, he hosted the City of Windhoek New Year Bash, The Namibian Annual Music Awards (Red Carpet Host) & Namibia's Got Talent Show. After taking part and representing Namibia in Big Africa, he established the first ever Windhoek Fashion Week five years ago which is now known as the MTC Windhoek Fashion Week.[7]

He further spread his wings in children entertainment and established the first ever Puppet Cartoon Show for Namibia called Waka Waka Moo. To date the Waka Waka Moo Franchise has branched into Awards Show and stationery.[6]

Big Brother Africa[edit]

Munana represented Namibia at the Big Brother show in 2014. Model and television producer, he participated and left the house after week 9. He then moved to East Africa after BBA because that is where he had a huge fan base, especially in countries such as Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.  Munana is currently on the project Waka Waka Moo,[8][9][10] which is Namibia’s first animated kid TV show. [11][12]
