Lukasz Tracz (born April 4th, 1985) is an entrepreneur and a businessman who currently lives in Miami Beach, Florida. Involved with several ventures, he is best known as the co-founder of Life in Color,[1] an EDM tour dubbed the "World's Largest Paint Party," which was recently purchased[2] by Robert F. X. Sillerman's SFX Entertainment.[3] Lukasz and his twin-brother have been named "EDM International Phenomenons" by Boca Magazine.[4]

Early Life[edit]

Lukasz was born in Ziebize, Poland to Krystyna Janowski and Dariusz Tracz. Krystyna and Dariusz met when he was a drumming for his local Poland band. Initially, Krystyna & Dariusz thought that were having only one son. It wasn't until birth when the doctors discovered that they were delivering twins. Lukasz is younger than his identical twin brother Patryk, but only by mere minutes. With their father being a drummer in Poland, Lukasz and Patryk both grew love for music at an early age. They faced many hardships living in Poland, finding it difficult to put food on the table. At the age of 9, the whole family was forced to move to United States in search of financial stability.[citation needed]

The family moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where both of the brothers attended Spanish River High School. As no-one in their family spoke English, adjusting proved difficult. Their mother cleaned houses and their father worked as a maintenance man. When the parents decided to separate and move residences, Lukasz and his brother took over their parents' lease. While still in high school, the brothers became largely independent, working at restaurants their senior year.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

College and early parties[edit]

In 2005, After high school, most of Lukasz immediate friends moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University. Faced with loneliness at home and opportunity abroad, Lukasz decided to leave Boca Raton's Florida Atlantic University to attend Florida State University as well. While awaiting enrollment at FSU, Lukasz attended Tallahassee Community College. It was there and through his employment at restaurants (Chili's, Olive Garden) where he met people involved with the dance scene inTallahassee. While driving to a party with Deuce Debonaire, Lukasz lost control of his car and crashed into a tree on FSU campus. No-one was severely injured, but police arrested Lukasz for suspicion of DUI. Faced with court and lawyer fees, Lukasz focused on his graphical design skills, and began offering advertisement and sponsorship packages to local businesses.[citation needed]

Dayglow/Life in Color[edit]

He and his new circle of friends loved partying so they began hosting events at various clubs, and charging an inclusive price for limousine shuttles and VIP bottle service. Once Lukasz and his friends started throwing parties regularly, they decided to name themselves Committee Entertainment. All founders were avid fans of house music, and took different roles: Paul Campbell was relations/social media manager, Sebastien Solano was in charge of event negotiations, David Solano (aka DJ Climax) was the resident DJ, while Lukasz was in charge of media marketing.[citation needed]

At the time in Tallahassee, paint parties between fraternities and sororities were becoming popular. After attending one of these parties, Lukasz and his partners had the idea to acquire the name "DayGlow" and throw paint parties. In 2007, Lukasz and his partners (Sebastian Solano, Paul Campbell, David Solano & Patryk Tracz) decided to organize their first Dayglow in Miami at a local club called Allure. The first show had 1,000 attendees.[citation needed]

Later Lukasz and his partners took the party to Club Space and started traveling to cities outside of Florida. It only took 2 years for Dayglow to grow exponentially, becoming the 1st college EDM touring event in the United States. In 2009 Dayglow hosted a stage at the massive Ultra Music Festival. Their party has also been featured in National Geographic.[citation needed]

Recent years[edit]

In 2013, Lukasz and his business partners hosted their 1st Life in Color Festival in Miami. Committed to blending genres, the committee faced criticism when they added 2 Chainz to the event, with Lukasz defending the inclusion of hip hop. 2 Chainz was eventually added to the lineup, which also included artists such as Calvin Harris, R3hab, and Steve Aoki.[5]

Lukasz and his twin-brother have been named "EDM International Phenomenons" by Boca Magazine.[4]

Personal life[edit]

Tracz continues to live in Miami Beach, Florida.
