Luke Cosgrove (born 24 April 1994) is an Australian actor. He first rose to prominence for his role in Paramount's television adaptation of Stephen King's, The Mist, also starring Frances Conroy and Morgan Spector.[1] Cosgrove has also been seen in various independent Australian films such as Shiver, Disc of Love and Cyber Sin. The actor has recently appeared in The Rookie, and Nyad.[citation needed]
Career[edit]
Cosgrove played Australian Rules Football and surfed competitively as a teenager.[2]
In 2010, he starred in the short film, Cyber Sin, alongside well known Australian actor, John Jarrett.[3]
In 2017, Cosgrove made his major television debut in The Mist as Jay Heisel, a high school quarterback accused of sexual assault. He appeared alongside actors Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Spector, Frances Conroy and Danica Curcic.[4]
In 2022, Cosgrove appeared in ABC's The Rookie. He played Rowan Clausen alongside actors like Richard T. Jones, Alyssa Diaz, and Nathan Fillion.[5] Cosgrove will next play Luke Tipple in the highly anticipated biographical sports drama Nyad, alongside Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, and Rhys Ifans.[6] The film is directed by Academy Award winners Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin and is set to premier on Netflix in 2023[7]
