Luke Lawal is an African American entrepreneur, CEO, and founder of L & C and the brand HBCU Buzz.[1][2][3][4]

Career

Lawal graduated from Bowie State University, after which he started Suited Lifestyle, a Black male organization. The organization aspires to create an extensive professional network of young professionals and other like-minded individuals for peer-to-peer engagement via cultural and social events.[5][6]

Lawal founded HBCU Buzz in 2011 while still an undergraduate at Bowie State University. The Buzz emphasizes unity within all HBCU communities to enhance the Black college experience as well as improve the views towards America’s historically Black colleges and universities. The HBCU media outlet provides news and trends about Black colleges and universities. This is done by strategically utilizing references from schools, organizations, and other media outlets to act as a source of HBCU news for all historically Black colleges and universities.[6][7][8]

Presently, Lawal is the CEO and founder of L & C, a marketing and consulting agency. The company's profile includes media, marketing, and technology and also acts as the parent company of the brands HBCU Buzz, G Alexandra, and The Black Beat. Luke Lawal Jr. is also a Master Mason and a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity.[9][10][11]
