Helane "Lulu" Seikaly is an American attorney from the state of Texas. She was the Democratic nominee for Texas's 3rd congressional district in the 2020 elections.
Seikaly's parents fled Lebanon in 1984, amidst the Lebanese Civil War. Seikaly was born in North Texas.[1] She earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University[2] and her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law.[3] She lived in Sacramento, California, while working for the law firm Churchwell White.[2] Seikaly and her husband live in Plano, Texas.[3]
Electoral history
Seikaly was the 2020 Democratic Party nominee for Texas Congressional District 3, which represents most of Collin County. Seikaly won the majority of the vote during the 2020 Texas Democratic Primary and defeated Sean McCaffity in the July 14 run-off. Seikaly eventually lost to incumbent Rep. Van Taylor in the 2020 United States House of Representatives elections.
