Luna Rosa Lozada (born April 3, 1992) is an Puerto Rican model, singer, actress, and Lady of the French noble family due to her great-great grandfather Ramón Emeterio Betances.
Early life & Career[edit]
Lozada was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, on April 3, 1992, she is the daughter of Isabella Lozada and Leonardo Lozada. Isabella is of primarily French, Spanish and Taino Indian descent, while Leonardo is of Spanish, Taino Indian, and African descent. Through her maternal ancestry, Lozada possesses French noble blood from her great-great grandfather Ramón Emeterio Betances, a Puerto Rican born French noblemen who held the rank of Chévalier and also led The Puerto Rican independence movement.
Lozada spent most of her childhood in Cabo Rojo, before relocating to Seattle, Washington at age seven. She went on to graduate from the private institution Lakeside Upper School, then went on to attend Seattle University.
Beginning modeling at a young age, Lozada shot with local Seattle photographers. Subsequently, she gained notoriety among well known photographers in New York City, which lead to her career as a professional model. Lozada quickly signed with notable agencies including the likes of Ford Models. She has appeared in over a dozen high fashion magazines, along with notable campaigns. She later went on to appear in commercials for Bing and Fiat.
Most notability she walked in the 2013 New York Fashion Week and the 2013 Milan Fashion Week. She is also well known for her own viral campaigns which have gained much attention on social media.[1][2][3]
On September 16, 2014, Lozada made a surprise announcement that she has been working on a music project for the past year. Later that day four acoustic covers performed by Lozada were leaked online. The covers included songs from the likes of Beyonce and Ariana Grande.
