Iran Santana Alves[1] (born in Quijingue, 7 November 2001),[2] better known as Luva de Pedreiro,[3] is a Brazilian content creator and digital influencer.
He achieved success by posting amateur football videos on his social networks, where he demonstrates his skills in the sport by making references to famous teams and players, celebrating his goals using catchphrases like "Receba!" and "Obrigado, meu Deus", which were reproduced by Internet users and sport celebrities.[4][5][6]
His nickname came from playing football wearing gloves of construction professionals, referring to the cold gloves used by European players.[7]
Biography[edit]
Born in the village of Tábua, in Quijingue, a city with less than 30,000 inhabitants in the interior of Bahia.[8] Of humble origin, he used to play in childhood with cloth balls made by his mother or with coconuts that he found in the backyard, where he started playing football and fell in love with the sport, becoming a supporter of Vasco da Gama for the stimulus. from your family.[9] Despite his desire to become a professional player, he ended up putting his dream aside to help his father work in the fields as a boy.[10] Due to his daily life situations, he can attend school until the eighth year of elementary school.[11]

Internet success[edit]
On March 25, 2021, Iran posted his first video on TikTok,[19] but it was only on the first one, in which he wore the bricklayer's gloves, that his content achieved great success on the platform, reaching over 30 million. of views from one day to the next.[12] With the success acquired on the network, he also started to publish on Instagram.[20]
His videos quickly went viral in Brazil and abroad, being shared by clubs such as Barcelona[21] and Bayern Munich,[22] also receiving comments and praise[23] from several world players and sports institutions such as UEFA,[4] and his catchphrases soon came to be pronounced and referenced by football celebrities[24] and anonymous[25] around the world.[26]
In 2022, with less than a year working on the internet, he reached the home of millions of followers on the main social networks today,[27] conquered his first YouTube boards[28][29] and became the Brazilian influencer of the sport with the most followers on Instagram,[30] receiving in March of the same year a tribute from the platform, which told a little of his trajectory, shared one of his videos and started to follow him, thus making him the only Brazilian man to be followed by the official account of Instagram on the social network.[31][32]

In the first quarter of 2022, he gained prominence in the national[33] and international press,[34][35] and began to be invited to participate in television, social and sports programs,[36] where he met and challenged some of his idols football, like Neymar.[37][38]
The notoriety on the internet also earned him invitations from the CBF to watch a match valid for the World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Chile at Maracanã[14] and Vasco to visit the São Januário Stadium, where he was received by Roberto Dinamite and by the team's delegation,[39] when he also participated in the first episode of the Cruzmaltino club 's podcast "Fala, Vascão".[40] In one week, the actions promoted at the meeting between Iran, Luva de Pedreiro, and Vasco were responsible for setting a hitherto new record of engagement in content published by Brazilian teams on TikTok.[41][42]
Luva also received an official invitation from Íbis Sport Club, popularly known as the worst team in the world, to play a match against Sport Recife for the last round of the Campeonato Pernambucano group stage,[43][44] but was not selected for the match that ended in 4x0 for Sport.[45]
In 2022 he broke records of engagement in virtual content aimed at football in America[46][42] and became the Brazilian influencer of the sport with the most followers on Instagram,[30] being the only Brazilian man to be followed by the official social network account.[31][32]

In March 2022, Allan de Jesus became the manager of Iran[9] and in the first half of April of the same year it was announced that he would have signed his first advertising contract, to star in a new Prime Video advertising campaign, in addition to participations in a series of actions involving the platform and the sports universe,[47][48] and that same month, he starred in commercials, shown on open and pay TV channels, which publicized the transmissions of the Copa do Brasil on the streaming service from Amazon.[49] Also in April 2022, he announced the launch of his exclusive clothing brand.[50][51] In the following month, Iran signed a partnership with the UFC and published a video on their networks belonging to the project “Colabs com o Cara da Luva de Pedreiro”, where he interacted with the fighter and lightweight champion Charles do Bronx, thus becoming the first Brazilian content creator to partner with the competition.[52]
On June 19, Iran did a live on his Instagram, annoyed with charges, and announced a break from the videos. Fans speculated that Iran was dissatisfied with his advisory team and manager Allan de Jesus.[53] A few days later, he returned to posting videos, but all mention of manager Allan was removed. Hours later, the agency ASJ Consultoria informed that it received the news through the press and that it was not informed of any attempt at termination between the parties and cited a risk of contractual breach. The businessman stated that he has a contract with Iran until 2026. According to columnist Leo Dias, Iran would have new entrepreneurs and his bank account would have only 7,500 reais.[54] Allan denied the accusation and said that Iran has 2 million reais to receive.[55] Judge Maria Cristina de Brito Lima, from Rio de Janeiro, prevented the broadcasting of information about the controversy between Iran and his former manager on TV Globo, Fantástico and on Record TV, Domingo Espetacular. The injunction prohibits broadcasters from disclosing confidential information about the contract between the two or from making any manifestation that allegedly would foment hate speech against Allan.[56][57]
On 28 June, Iran signed a contract with former futsal player Falcão.[58] With the help of new entrepreneurs, on 1 July, Iran moved into a new property.[59]
