Lynn Montgomery is an American writer, filmmaker, and author, recognized for her contributions to television, film, and literature. She is known for creating the TV shows The Torkelsons and as head-writer for Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. created by Shelly Duvall and starring Jean Stapleton, based on the children's books by Betty MacDonald, and for creating and directing Amazing Grace, a documentary about Grace Fisher.[1]

Television[edit]
Montgomery created and wrote for The Torkelsons, a family sitcom[2] that aired in the early 1990s on the Disney Channel, and Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle,[3][4] based on the children's books. Her work on "The Radish Cure" episode of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle earned her recognition at the 47th Writers Guild of America Awards. In 1985, her documentary Child Abuse: The Day After, won her a LA Emmy.[5][6]
Film[edit]
Montgomery directed Amazing Grace,[7] a documentary that premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, showcasing the story of Grace Fisher.[1] Her film Don't Sell My Guitars is a documentary dedicated to her father, showcased at various film festivals.

She authored the book Butt Ugly,[8] which received positive reviews for its candid and engaging storytelling.[9]

Gold Mountain Manor[edit]
Montgomery previously owned the historic Gold Mountain Manor in Big Bear Lake, California. The manor, built in 1928, has a rich history and has been a popular venue for weddings and events.[10]
