M.A.J. (Mar Augustine Jubilee) Hospital is a unit of St George Forane Church in Edappally, Kochi, Kerala, India and was established in 1952. M.A.J. Hospital is one of the first medical care facilities in Kochi. It is a multi super specialty hospital with round-the-clock trauma and emergency care services. History
M.A.J. Hospital is a 300-bed multi super speciality hospital established in 1952 in the city of Kochi, Kerala. Records indicate that the hospital was functioning as a clinic before 1946. The hospital is established as a charitable unit of St. George Forane Church, Edappally, with a vision to provide quality and affordable healthcare to the poor and needy. This is one among the first hospitals in Kochi, now developed as a multi super speciality hospital offering more than 25 clinical specialities. NABH certification and Kayakalp Certifications are given to the Hospital for continuous quality improvement. It is one of the few hospitals in the country with both[1]

Diabetic screenings are conducted every Wednesdays. Common heart disease screenings can be done and, if necessary, angiograms and angioplasties can be done at the hospital itself. The hospital is having a medical oncology department for providing cancer care. Pulmonology, gastroenterology, urology, ophthalmology, ENT, Dentistry and psychiatry departments are adding to patient care, making it more specialised. Obstetrics and Gynaecology department is well known in the city. All complicated deliveries and gynaecological procedures are performed by the senior consultants.
