MAN NGxx3F is a series of low-floor single-deck articulated city bus chassis for 18.00 to 18.75 metres length,[1] offered by MAN since 1998, with internal code A24. They are based on the integral low-floor articulated MAN NGxx3 Lion's City G (A23). Available versions since launch include NG263F, NG313F, NG363F and CNG version NG313F CNG.
Type designation breakdown[edit]
- N: Niederflur (low floor)
- G: Gelenkbus (articulated bus)
- xx: first two digits of power output in hp (nearest ten)
- 3: third generation
- F: Fahrgestell (chassis)
This means that a NG363F has a power output of 360 hp.
MAN NG363F[edit]
In April 2013, SMRT Buses in Singapore received one 18-metre NG363F for trial service, with MAN Lion's City GL bodywork built under licence by Gemilang Coachworks.[2] A production batch of 40 buses were later ordered, with the first entering service in March 2015. It will serve feeders and intra-town bus services in the long term.
The first NG363F for SMRT was first deployed on Service 190 for demonstration purposes and later redeployed to Service 176, before another subsequent redeployment to Service 189.
