MD Anand is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He is an Indian film director and screenwriter who primarily works in Tamil cinema. Marijuana (2020 film) is his debut film, and it was released in theaters on November 14, 2020, Diwali.
Life and career
MD Anand was born in Bodinayakkanur, Tamil Nadu (India). He did his schooling in Government Higher Secondary School, Chennai, after which he went to study Bachelor of Engineering at Srinivasa Institute of Engineering & Technology, Chennai.
After working with the Director Tamizh on the Taanakkaran movie for a few years, Vikram Prabhu acted in the lead role. In 2020, he quit and started making independent films. Taanakkaran was released on Disney+ Hotstar after the COVID-19 pandemic. He made a few experimental short films, and he made the Tamil film Marijuana (2020 film)[1][2] which received positive feedback from the audience.[3] The first look was released by Tamil actor Yogi Babu.[4][5] MD Anand was given a dark thriller in his movie Marijuana (2020 film).[6][7] Currently, he is working as a screenwriter on 1848 (upcoming film), which is produced by his brother MD Vijay, a Tamil feature film with Director Thamizh Thiyagarajan.
