MEA Engineering college, the first NAAC accredited self financing engineering college in Malappuram district is committed to provide excellent and value-based education with a flair for ethics and professionalism. MEA is the second self financing engineering college in Malappuram district. The college is located amidst the panoramic natural beauty overlooking the hills and valleys at Nellikunnu, near Perinthalmanna, a city of various educational institutions, situated on the Perinthalmanna-Melattur road. The college is easily accessible by road, rail and air. Affiliation, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological university. It also emphasizes to improve the academic standards of the graduate, post graduate and research programmes in engineering science, technology and management and regulate the academic standards of all colleges affiliated to the University. The main thrust areas of the University are Research, Development and Innovation. The college is governed by ‘Samastha Kerala Jamiyathul Ulama’, a society instituted by top class intellectuals of the Muslim community. Right from the beginning MEA EC has concentrated on providing quality education in a highly disciplined environment. This has paid rich dividends over the past years as is evident from the preference of students to join the college. MEA has got different braches which include CSE, AI, EEE, EL, ME, CE. Campus[edit]

The campus covers 28 acres of land and is situated in the hills of Nellikunnu in the town of Pattikkad near Perinthalmanna. The institution offers B.Tech. and M.Tech. degree courses of the A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University in the various branches of engineering. There are facilities like transportation to all nearby towns, Hostels for gents and ladies, Fitness Centre under the College. WiFi facility is available for the entire campus including the hostels. All Computer Laboratories are connected to the internet through Manageable Switches. The college has a physical and a digital Library with huge resources and also a play ground, Auditorium, ATM and Canteen Facilities.

IEEE MEA Student Branch[edit]

IEEE, pronounced “I-Triple-E”, is the world’s largest professional association with its corporate office in New York. IEEE MEA Student Branch was established in the year 2011. From the time of establishment onwards the Student Branch has been actively organizing various events and participating in events all around the sections at national and international levels. IEEE MEA Student Branch consists of societies like Industrial Application Society, Computer Society, and Power and Energy society and under IEEE as well as affinity groups like Women in Engineering that motivates girl students and SIGHT Affinity group for humanitarian activities. Members from all the departments (CSE, IT, EL, EEE, ME, CE). IEEE MEA Student Branch has played a major role in moulding the technical skills of the students within the college by creating an ambience for nurturing innovation, creativity and excellence in the students by completely following the motto, “Advancing Technology for Humanity”. The Student Branch hosted technical, managerial and other intra- college and inter-college events. It always provides perfect opportunities to showcase students’ beautiful and speculative works. IEEE envisioned a future that is an enterprise-wide strategic planning process combining contemporary conditions with innovative modern ideas. Meetings of IEEE MEA SB members are organized weekly. Every year, we conduct a wide variety of programmes including hands-on workshops, technical and non-technical seminars, talks, different types of competitions that enhance the competitive minds of our students, techno-managerial events like XTRINIA, professional summits like ENVISION, etc. Through these continuous events, the Student Branch aims to prepare the young engineers to confidently and competently face the challenges of intensifying competitions by imparting high quality technical and managerial programs coupled with appropriate training and wide exposure to the volunteers. Along with that by focusing on the all-round personality development of the volunteers and inculcating human values and professional ethics in them, IEEE MEA SB plays a key role in moulding the four-year engineering life of our students.

IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell)[edit]

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) of MEA Engineering College (MEAEC) has been established in 2016 under Kerala Startup Mission which is the pioneer champion among incubators which functions with a vision to support and nurture the startups in the state of Kerala, with the objective of generating, nurturing and promoting the spirit of entrepreneurial culture among the youth of our college.

NSS (National Service Scheme)[edit]

National Service Scheme Technical Cell Unit functions at the college as unit number 110. National Service Scheme works with the motto "NOT ME BUT YOU" and its aim is personality development through social service. The NSS Unit undertaken many projects and it is one of the best NSS Technical Cell Unit in Kerala.
