Minenhle Mayibongwe Mkhize (born September 10, 1996) is an African Christian preacher, pastor, and motivational speaker. He is one of the pastors at Mount Zion Christian Centre, a predominantly black church in Hammarsdale, South Africa. The senior pastor of Mount Zion Christian Centre is Bishop Kenneth Thabani Mkhize.
Early Life and Education
Minenhle Mkhize, formally known as Pastor MM Mkhize, was born on September 10, 1996, in Durban, South Africa, to Bishop Kenneth Thabani Mkhize III and the late Mrs. Nokukhanya Fortunate Mkhize. He was raised by his grandparents, Bishop Bernard Matimane Mkhize and Angeline Phathekile Mkhize, who are both deceased.
Mkhize did his undergraduate degree at UKZN (The University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg) where he obtained his Bachelor of Theology degree in 2019.
Ministry
Mkhize currently serves as one of the pastors at the church that his father currently leads as the senior pastor and Bishop. He started his ministry journey early in his life when he felt the call of God, which was confirmed when he heard the story of how his mother passed away two weeks after giving birth to him. Two years before his mother passed away, his parents had lost their firstborn son, Mpendulo Mkhize, who drowned in a pool. Two years after losing his mother, he lost another brother, Melusi Mkhize.
He preached his first sermon at the tender age of 18 years at his church; the sermon was on the story of David and Goliath.
