MUH (stylized as MUH~) was a Japanese pop girl group formed from the Japanese television program "Akiba Limousine" in 2003. Derived from the initials of the members, MUH (Mori-Usami-Harada), the group toured around Japan singing their interpretations of hit anime theme songs. Led by Yurika Mori, the band performed in cosplay outfits such as maid costumes, pajamas, and school uniforms.

History

Singing was the group's main activity, whether performing interpretations of famous anime theme songs, songs requested by fans through the radio, or their own original songs. The group released two albums, Maamaamaa in 2003, and Vitamin MUH in 2005. They also released two DVDs, MUH in 2005, and Muh Thank You in 2007.

The band members also pursued individual careers outside the group, appearing in picture book collections, DVDs, and commercials, as well as in dramas and movies.[citation needed]

The group officially disbanded on July 7, 2007, as announced during their live show at Shinjuku Ruido on June 9, 2007, and made official on their website on June 11, 2007.[citation needed]

The band members were chosen after winning as grand champions of the TV show Akiba na Renchu. They then performed anime song covers for the TV program Akiba Limousine, where they were established as a cosplay idol unit.
