MYLAND is an AOR band from Milan, Italy, formed in 2005.

History

Paolo Morbini (former drummer for EVA, EXILIA, and BRUNOROCK) started what seemed to be original songs and cover repertoire from some of the most famous rock bands in the world, after a long experience in many rock bands from Milan.

At the beginning of the 90’s, Paolo started to work in Milan for the most important Musical Academy in Italy, where he met the two brothers Stefano (keyboard) and Marco Andreasi (guitar), who were also two incredible AOR/melodic rock fans, just like Paolo was.

Guido Priori (vocal) and Adalberto Rizzoli (bass) grew up alongside many rock bands from Milan. They were also the oldest two of Paolo's buddies, and sometimes, in the past, they jammed together in various rock venues, performing songs from Toto, Journey, and Survivor.

Paolo, after many years of live playing, who was credited around at 2,700 dates up to now, decided to record a first debut album under the MyLand moniker, asking the other members of the band to join his project with him. The album was written, arranged, mixed, and produced by Paolo Morbini himself. It was recorded and mixed during different steps, using 4 different recording studios.

The members of the band decided to collect on this MyLand's album their most important melodic rock musical influences, to try to capture the sounds as well as they could, concentrating their efforts on melodic lines, powerful chorus/vocals, and instrumental parts as well. That MyLand album remained a work-in-progress. All the members were too busy with their other own bands, but Paolo continued to write some new original stuff for a second MyLand album.

In 2007, with Paolo Morbini on drums, Guido Priori as vocals, Stefano Andreasi on keyboards, and Marco Andreasi on guitar, Adalberto Rizzoli (formally on bass) was replaced by Claudio Corazza. In addition, the band added another guitarist, Marzio Ker, during their studio session.

At the beginning of 2007, the band signed a deal with the thing called Valery Records and they recorded their second AOR album called No man's land, out on sale in September 2007, distributed by Frontiers Records. The album was mixed by Marco Barusso at “Massive Studios” in Milan and mastered by Kee Marcello in Sweden. The album featured also some great special guests like Kee Marcello, Tommy Denander (Chicago, Toto, Richard Marx, Paul Stanley etc.), Alex Del Vecchio and Steve Angarthal (Fire Trails).

In March 2009, No man’s land was published in Japan by the King Records and after it, Myland started to perform in different Italian and European festivals.

In 2011 the band created the album Light of a new day.[1]

In 2013 they released the other album, called Tales from the inner planet. During 2014, Ruben Sacco left the band and a new singer was immediately ready to hit the stage: Marco Luraschi (Mark Lee). With the new frontman, the band immediately started to perform different gigs all around Italy until mid-2015,[2] it means until when Fabian Andrechen left the band.[3]

From June 2015 the band has been recording their new album, which will be out at the beginning of 2016.[4]
