MYTV (supposedly short for Mayapada Televisi) is a private national television network in Indonesia owned by Mayapada Group.
MYTV officially began broadcasting on 28 August 2006 on Serang, Banten under the name Banten TV. Starting February 1, 2019,[1] INTV changed its name again to MYTV after being acquired by Mayapada Group by 90% since 2018[2] and changed the concept from family television to women only television.
History[edit]
Initially, MYTV was as local television stations Banten under the name Banten TV which conducted trial broadcasts on 7 July 2006 in Serang, Banten and was launched on 28 August 2006 in Serang, Banten, with only coverage in Serang, Cilegon, Pandeglang, Lebak, Anyer, Tangerang and Labuan. On January 1 2012, Banten TV has increased its broadcast coverage to Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, South Tangerang and Bekasi, so that the Jabodetabek community can enjoy Banten TV broadcasts. On January 1 2016, Banten TV changed its name to INTV. INTV obtained permission to broadcast online. However, the network broadcast was conducted on January 1, 2016 at 00.00 WIB, right on New Year's Eve 2016. INTV, which was originally located in Banten, was gradually moved to Jakarta after becoming a television station networked in Indonesia.
MYTV's loyal viewership has reached 5 million viewers. Currently MYTV broadcast hours are 20 hours a day, and will continue to be improved. Along with the increase in broadcast hours, improvements are also being made in both the quality and the picture for broadcast.
MYTV focuses on women's television. The needs and interests of viewers in the broadcast area of the program emphasize local nuances that involve as many viewers as possible such as; interactive programs and off water events to strengthen community penetration.
The audience segment is more towards classes B, C1, C2, and D, causing the majority of viewers in this region to be classified as lower-middle class.
On February 1 2019, INTV officially changed its name to MYTV. This makes MYTV ready to become a television station national in Indonesia so that television station women first in Indonesia.
