Maan Chua
Maria Anathea "Maan" Chua is a Filipino singer-songwriter from Davao City, Philippines. She writes songs to showcase Mindanao's culture and its different tribes and/or festivals.

Career
She started singing when she was 17 or 18.[1] In her high school years, she began her passion for being an artist with her Ska band named "Skambugs", playing genres like Alternative and Rock Music.[2] She started her career officially in 2001, before getting recruited the next year by the band "Mebuyan".[3][4] She had the lead role in Salima, a musical theatre play during 2003 and 2004 made by one of her band members. She won Tunog Mindanaw in 2011 with the song Ilaw ng Kapayapaan and in 2013 with the song T'nalak.[5] She produced her first album called Happy Thoughts, before the mainstream album "Sayaw".[1] She was commissioned by Palarong Pambansa to write a theme song in 2015, titled "Palaro ng Pagkakaisa".[6][7] She also does beading, with one of her artworks, titled "Agung", winning Habi Kadayawan 2017.[8] She has been commissioned by the City of Davao's Information Office multiple times, most notably the songs Dabaw, Dabawenyo (For the 84th Araw Ng Dabaw)[9] and Madayaw[10].
