Maanegaun माने गाउँ (Currently Kispang Rural Municipality Ward Number 5) is a village development committee in Nuwakot District in the Bagmati Zone (Bagmati Province) of central Nepal.

The original name of the village was "Mhanégang” or “Mhané Gang” म्हने गङ " (Professor Kathryn March)[1]. It later became "Nepalified” as माने गाउँ because that’s what Nepali speakers heard it as and further written as “Maane Gaun” when romanized for Google Earth [2]. There were loads of Mhane on top of village. Hence known as "Mhane" and "Gang गङ " meaning hill.
