MadaLuxe Group, founded in 2010, is a North American off-price distributor of European luxury labels' clothing, bags, watches, eyewear and accessories.[1][2][3][4] The group includes Madaluxe Vault,[5] Madaluxe Eyewear and SLS Journey, their investment arm.[6][7][8] MadaLuxe Group is headquartered in New York City, NY in the United States.[9]

History[edit]

Sandy Sholl and Adam Freede founded MadaLuxe Group in 2010 just after Freede graduated from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.[1][10] Freede currently leads MadaLuxe Group.[4][11] In 2010, MadaLuxe started off by selling excess inventory made by European fashion brands.[5]

In 2017, Madaluxe Group opened their first retail store, Madaluxe Vault at Citadel Outlets in Southern California,[1][12][13] as well as a website.[1][14] Madaluxe made more than $200 million in annual sales as of 2018.[15][16][17]

In 2018, they opened additional locations in Southern California[3][18][19], and Phoenix, Arizona.[14][18][20] They opened their New York headquarters and showroom.[11][21][22]

In 2020, Madaluxe Group's division MLG Health delivered 2 million face masks to healthcare groups across the United States in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.[23][24][25]

In November 2020, the company launched a licensing arm to produce licensed products from luxury brands.[26]

Partnerships[edit]

Madaluxe Group has been the U.S. and Caribbean distributor for Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace and Versus Versace since 2017.[27] They are also a distributor for Teslar.[28]

In 2019, Fendi Timepieces partnered with MadaLuxe Group to distribute their watches in North America.[29] Madaluxe Vault also merchandises Timex.[30]

Investments[edit]

Reflaunt[edit]

In February 2021, Madaluxe Group invested $2.7 million USD into Reflaunt, an apparel reselling platform.[31][32]

CodeBoxx[edit]

In July 2021, the company took an ownership stake in CodeBoxx, by investing $2 million USD.[33][34] CodeBoxx is focused on teaching coding and technology to women, people of color and veterans.[7]
