Magical Reels Productions is an Indian music record label and production house established by rapper Moksha Amman in 2016. Based in Mumbai, it mainly produces documentaries, docudramas, travel shows, songs & music videos.
History
2016-2020
Magical Reels Productions was founded in 2016 by Moksha Amman, an Indian rapper, lyricist, actor, editor, and record producer in the Indian film industry. The company's debut production was Bharat ka Vikas, a documentary series on India. Subsequently, the company ventured into producing Biographies of Legends, a mini-series focusing on great leaders of India, and Trouvaille - The Travel Show, a short travel series exploring India, a land known for its ancient civilization and spirituality.
2018-present
In 2018, Magical Reels Productions released their first song titled "Gym Wali Bandi," a dance track in the Hip-Hop/Rap and Electropop genre.
Following that, in December 2022, they dropped "Dil Tod Ke," a heartbreaking and emotional song. According to the artist, the song is based on his real-life incidents.
In March 2023, they released Le Gayi, a romantic Hindi/Urdu track capturing the joy, excitement, and essence of falling in love.
Magical Reels Productions’ fourth release, Phone Uthale Baby, is a Pop-Hip-Hop-Trap fusion that tells the futuristic story of an astronaut journeying back to Earth to reconnect with his love.
Ram Ram Ram, Magical Reels Productions’ fifth release, fuses Trap, Devotional, Reggae, and Experimental music, depicting a devotee’s spiritual journey to Lord Shri Ram.
Legal Issues
In March 2023, Moksha Amman received a Content ID claim on his song "Le Gayi" from an Egyptian distribution company, The Basement Records. As a matter of fact, the beat that Moksha Amman had bought was purchased by an Egyptian artist named El Joker from the same producer 4 years ago. In the music industry, it is a common occurrence for a music producer to sell the same beat to multiple artists. The artist who purchases the beat first and uploads it on YouTube may be recognized as the rightful owner of the beat by YouTube, particularly if their distribution company claims ownership. The same thing happened in this case as well. Afterward, Amman filed a dispute against "The Basement Records". Subsequent to this, Magical Reels reached out to the Egyptian Artist El Joker. Following their conversation, El Joker contacted his distribution company and managed to get the Content ID claim removed. According to Moksha Amman, he appreciates El Joker for exceptional support.
