Mahammad A. Qureshi (born 2 February 1964, Karachi, also known as MAQ) is a Pakistani-American buisinessman. He is the founder of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA), operator of T20 cricket in the United States since 1999, and the chief executive officer of MAQ Group, Inc., a real estate investment and financial group based in the United States.[1][2][3][4]
Early life and education[edit]
Mahammad A. Qureshi was born in Karachi, Pakistan to Fayyaz Hussain Qureshi. He completed his High School from Karachi and moved to United States of America in 1984.[5][6]
He attended AA Miami Dade Community College in 1987 and earned his BS from FMU,, Fort Lauderdale in 1989 and an honorary PHD Degree from the TeamWork International sports Research institute in 2011.[7][8][9][10]
Career[edit]
Qureshi founded Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) in 1999 which has been managing T20 cricket format since 1999. He has invested millions of dollars in the development of Cricket across the United States.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17]
Qureshi is the president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MAQ Group, Inc., a real estate investment and financial group based in the United States. MAQ Group specialize in commercial real estate and sports management, and has established, developed and managed convenience stores, gas stations and fast food outlets throughout the US.[18][19][20][21][22][23][24]

Qureshi has four children who are American Citizens; Samantha Afzal Qureshi, Afzal Ahmed Qureshi, Zishawn Afzal Qureshi, Aayan Afzal Qureshi.[25][26]
