Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Jr (Urdu: ذوالفقار علی بھٹو‎, born 1991), alias Faluda Islam, is a Pakistani American drag queen, queer visual and performance artist.[1]

Early life and education[edit]

He was born in 1990 to a Pakistani father and Lebanese mother and is a member of Bhutto family.[2][3] He was named after his grandfather and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto[3]

His father Murtaza Bhutto was a politician and his mother Ghinwa Bhutto leads Pakistan Peoples Party (Shaheed Bhutto) and is of Lebanese descent.[3]

He moved to the San Francisco, United States in 2014 to study at the San Francisco Art Institute.[2]

He has worked on creative projects such as Mussalmaan Musclemen, The Third Muslim: Queer and Trans Muslim Narratives of Resistance and Resilience, The Alif Series and Tomorrow We Inherit the Earth.[4]

Personal life[edit]

He is openly queer and belongs to LGBTQ community.[4][5] Bhutto is a practicing Muslim and currently lives in San Francisco.[2][6]
