Mahmudul Hasan Gunovi
Mahmudul Hasan Gunovi (born 1984), also known as Hasan,[1] is a Bangladeshi islamic scholar, writer, islamic lecturer, religious personality and self-proclaimed Messenger of Allah. He established an organization called 'Dawatul Islam', Invite people to Islam and Allah through this organization.[2]

Personal life[edit]
Gunovi was born in 1984 in Gunabati village of Chauddagram Upazila of Comilla.[3] He has a wife and 3 children and his father's name is (late) Abdul Quader.[4]
Education[edit]
Gunovi, after attending school up to class-V was admitted to Madrasa. Studied Dawarae-Hadith (Masters) from Jamia Rahmania Arabia, Mohammadpur, Dhaka.[5]
Works[edit]
Gunovi called people of other religions to Islam under the banner of 'Dawat Islam'.[6]
Arrested[edit]
On 15 July 2021, he was arrested by RAB from Beribandh area of Shah Ali police station in Dhaka for his involvement with the banned militant organization Ansar al-Islam.[7][8] Two days after his arrest, on 17 July 2021, he was remanded for three days for questioning.[9][10]
On 5 March 2024, after 2 years 7 months 19 days, he was released from prison on bail.
