Mahr Jat

Mahr Jat clan has its presence in Sahiwal District (mostly rural) of Punjab, Pakistan.[1][2][3] They are descendants of Mahr Mitha,[4] who was a Jat of Manjha in pre partition India, and his daughter was once married to Emperor Akbar.

Mahr Jat clan majority is associated with agriculture and micro trade. They speak Shah puri and Majhi dialect of Punjabi language.
