Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman (Nasir) is a Bangladeshi businessman based in Dubai and a director of NRB Bank.[1] He was granted CIP (Commercially Important Person) status in 2014 by the Bangladeshi Government.[2]
In 2016, he was elected chairman of the Board of Directors of NRB Bank Limited.[3] In 2002, Mr. Mahtabur Rahman, who also holds Citizenship of the United States, was involved in a misunderstanding with the Bangladeshi Consul General in Dubai where he alleged misconduct; the issue was later resolved amicably.[4]
Philanthropy
Mr. Mahtabur Rahman is widely involved in charity. He donated 7.5 million Bangladeshi Taka to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh’s Relief Fund in 2016.[5]
