Early Life
Mail Jeevas was educated inside of Wammy's House, but got bored and left to join the mafia, where he joined the Matt Squad.
Murder Case
Mail was inside of the Matt building when the Mello explosion caused the Matt building to be caught on fire during episode 29, Father. Mail decided that he would flee the building and start his own objectives. However, when he figured out that the people responsible for the destruction of Matt and Mello were the L force, Mail decided that he wanted revenge. In episode 35, Malice, on his way to Japan, he encountered a member of Mello, named Mihael Keehl. They agree to hold a member of L hostage for their own reasons. So, while L was leaving after a big meeting, Mail and Mihael captured a member, later identified as Hideki Ide. They held him in their car and started to escape. However, while the police were chasing them, the police shot Mail. It is later revealed that Mail managed to survive the bullet, and then the police corner him. Mail believes that he will be executed in a painful way by the police, so he points a gun to his head. However, before he can pull the trigger, the gun gets shot out of his hands, and he gets taken away for questioning. In episode 37, New World, it is revealed that Mail has a notebook himself that he has been using, and while watching the news, he sees news of Light Yagami escaping. To get revenge for being the leader of L during the explosion of Mello and the destruction of Matt, he decides to write down the name of Light, killing him on the stairs of a shopping mall.
