Make America Great! Welcome Celebration was a public celebration of the forthcoming inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States at the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on January 19, 2017. Notable performers included 3 Doors Down, Lee Greenwood, DJ Ravidrums, The Piano Guys, and Toby Keith.[1] Afterwards, Donald Trump spoke in a brief speech, concluding "We are going to make America great again, and I'll add – greater than ever before".[2][3]
Significantly fewer people showed up to Donald Trump's concert than Barack Obama's concert before his inauguration in 2009; 10,000 showed up at Trump's celebration while about 400,000 showed up at Obama's.[4]
As a result of their appearances at the concert, several performers (including 3 Doors Down and Toby Keith) have returned to the Billboard charts.[5][6] Furthermore, the 3 Doors Down compilation album, The Greatest Hits, topped the iTunes album list.[6]
