Malivata Dance
Malivata dance is a dance is from South-Eastern Tanzania. It comes from a tribe called Wamakua. It is performed during celebration for example: after a good harvest, during initiation rites and during other happy events and moments.
This dance is specifically performed by women but due to the recent trends in gender equality and commercialization, it is also performed by men.
It is a fast dance that involves a lot of chest, arm and leg movement.
