Malkeet Singh Rauni is an Indian actor. He started his professional acting career in 2008 in TV series named Jugni Chali Jalandhar and appeared first in Punjabi Movie Jag Jeondeyan De Mele in 2009.[1]
Biography[edit]
Malkeet Rauni was born in Ropar, Punjab, India. He completed his primarily education from Village Khera, Mohali, Punjab and later at Village Khant Manpur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.
In his early days, he started his career with Alpha TV Punjabi serial Sarhad, Manjit Jagjit. He then appeared in several other TV serials like Saude Dilan De, Kach Diyan Wanga, Akhiyan ton Door Jayi Na, Meet Milade Rabba, Veera, Jugni Chali Jalandhar, Amrit Manthan, Arjun, Sawdhan India, Mahabharat 2, etc. In 2009, he started acting in Punjabi movies with debut in "Jag Jeondean de Mele". He has acted in many Hindi films like "London Dreams", "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge", "Zuban", "No Problem", "Sarabjit", "Raja Abrodia", etc. He also acted in the Hollywood film "The Genius of Beauty". After a long struggle, he appeared in series of Punjabi movies.
While working in Mumbai, he thought of adopting the methods of the Mumbai film industry in the Punjabi film industry. He was accompanied by Shivendra Mahal, Bharat Bhushan Verma, J.S. Cheema, Param Bhangu. They started gathering artists in collaboration and established NZFTAA (North Zone Film & T.V. Artistes Association) in the year 2013. This organization takes care of the interests and rights of Punjabi artists.
Personal life[edit]
Apart from an artist, he is associated with many social organizations and NGOs. He also contribute as a social worker. He conducted many blood camps and awareness campaigns. Nowadays he is working on a campaign "I am proud, my father is a farmer".
