Mana Up is a start-up business accelerator for businesses located in Hawaii.[1][2][3][4]
It was launched in November of 2017 by Meli James, the president of the Hawaii Venture Capital Association,[5][6] Michael Cheski (who withdrew from activities in the organization shortly after the launch)[7] and former co-founder of Washington DC-based startup accelerator "1776", Brittany Heyd.[8][9] [10] [11] [7]
The company hosts a 12-week accelerator program twice per year aimed at supporting small businesses to grow. Advice is given on marketing, pricing, distribution and scaling strategies.[7][12]
Recognition[edit]
In 2018. Mana Up was acknowledged as "Best new business on Hawaii" by Pacific Edge magazine.[13]
In 2019, Mana Up was highlighted by Hawaii Business magazine as "Editor’s Choice" of Hawaiian women-owned small businesses.[14]
