Openly is a property insurance company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Openly offers homeowner's insurance in 21 states.[1] exclusively through independent insurance agents[2][3][4]. The company uses modern technology, including big data and machine learning, to simplify what is ordinarily an inefficient and highly manual industry.[5][6]

Openly was founded in 2017 by Ty Harris, a former Liberty Mutual executive, and Matt Wielbut a software engineer and former Vice President from Goldman Sachs[7][8][9][10]
In July 2022, Openly completed its purchase of an insurance carrier shell, Openly Insurance Company, licensed in 17 states and based in South Carolina.[11]
