Manish Shukla - (1981 - 5 October 2020) - West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party leader & youth leader, former councillor to Titagarh Municipality and corporator of Barrackpore municipality. He had worked since the 2000s.
Political Career[edit]
Manish Shukla had been a Bharatiya Janata Party youth leader. He had become a Bhartiya Janata Party leader during his political career. He also worked for Trinamool Congress CPM leader Tarit Topdar before joining Bharatiya Janata Party.
Personal Life[edit]
He had two young children and a wife.
Death[edit]
Manish, passed away due to gunfire in Titagarh, Barrackpore, Kolkata[1] at 8:30pm[2] on the 4th of October, 2020. He was rushed to Salt Lake Hospital the same night and was pronounced dead. He had attended a party the earlier that day. A CBI probe[3] was requested during the period by his father Dr. Chandramani Shukla as he reported on TV[4] and a CID investigation was led, multiple arrests were made during the 12-hour curfew imposed and further into the investigation.
He died at the age of 39.
