She is a newly and first elected Vice Chairperson of the District Development Council, a member in District Bandipur. Earlier she was elected and represented herself as candidate from People's Democratic Party and won the DDC elections in 2021. Later on she joined Jammu Kashmir Peoples Conference in late 2021.[1][2][3]
