She is a newly and first elected Vice Chairperson of the District Development Council, a member in District Bandipur. Earlier she was elected and represented herself as a candidate from People's Democratic Party and won the DDC elections in 2021. Later on she joined Jammu Kashmir Peoples Conference in late 2021.[1][2][3]
