Manisha Shukla

Manisha Shukla (born 07 September 1989) is a Hindi poetess and an Engineer. She is working as an engineer for a Govt. of India in a Public Sector Undertaking company named Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.

Life and career[edit]

Manisha Shukla was born on 07 September 1989 in a middle-class family in a small village named Shubhai of Hajipur in Bihar. Later on her family moved to Gorakhpur city in Uttar Pradesh, where she studied at N.E Railway Girls Inter College. Her father, Anil Kumar Shukla, works for a newspaper and her mother, Rinki Shukla, is a housewife. Manisha is the youngest child and has one elder brother and one elder sister. She studied at the Govt. Girls Polytechnic Allahabad because she wanted to become an engineer. She further moved to Delhi for higher studies and job.

It was while studying she joined BHEL as an Astt. Engineer and started working there. She Joined Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi to pursue Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic & Communication Engineering. She also holds a degree from AMIE (Associate Member of Institution of Engineers).

Manisha has also performed with prominent poet of India Dr. Kumar Vishwas on a Poetic show called KV Sammelan on the Aaj Tak television channel.

As a poet[edit]

Shukla routinely gives performances in which she demonstrates her poetry and love for Hindi and Urdu literature. She incorporates her comments on topical issues relating to Indian art and culture. She has participated in Kavi sammelan and functions in abroad including the Hongkong, Thailand, and Dubai. In the year 2020 she was invited to perform at Lalkila Rashtriya Kavi Sammelan. She has also performed at Parliament of India. In 2018 she was invited as a Speaker at famous Ajmer Literature Festival. She has given her poetic performances for Hindi Academy(Delhi), National Institute of Solar Energy(Delhi), IIT Delhi, Janaki Devi Memorial College (Delhi), Kalindi College (Delhi), Gargi College (Delhi) and many more other institutions. She is very famous among the youths and also very often invited at various corporate events like Jaypee Group, RECL, JP Cements etc.

Shukla has been seen on Various TV Shows. She was seen in KV Sammelan on Aaj Tak, Kaviyon ki Lalkar on Republic Bharat TV, Mushyara Muhabbat Ka on Zee TV, Wah Kavi Ji on Surya Samachar etc. She has also performed for various News Papers like Amar Ujala.
