Manolo Pedrosa (born October 20, 1997) is a Filipino actor. He rose to fame after his stint in Pinoy Big Brother: All In.
Early Life
He is the youngest among his siblings. His parents run a business together. He also admitted that he is closer to his mom than to his dad. He also loves to play sports like basketball, frisbee, and badminton, and he also enjoys jet skiing and hiking with his dad. He used to be a student of La Salle Greenhills.[1]
Career
Before his stint in Pinoy Big Brother: All In, he was already a model for the teen magazine Candy in the Philippines.[2] He also had a commercial for the Filipino toothpaste brand Hapee.[3]
Pinoy Big Brother
On April 27, 2014, he joined ABS-CBN's reality show Pinoy Big Brother: All In. He entered the famous house on Day 1 together with the other 16 housemates and was dubbed as the Wonder Son ng Quezon City. On Day 15, he was visited by his mother inside the house. On Day 21, during the 1st eviction night, he and his co-housemate Axel were given an automatic nomination by Big Brother after violating a rule concerning contact with the outside world during his mom's visit.[4][5][6] During the 2nd Eviction Night, he was saved after getting the highest number of votes with 33.87%.[7] On Day 70, he was once again nominated for eviction after losing his Super Challenge task against his co-housemate Fourth.[8] During the 8th eviction night, he was almost evicted from the PBB house after getting 4.27% of the total votes, while Cheridel was the one who got booted out. Cheridel, who then had a power to pick who she wanted to save from the next nomination, chose him to be saved.[9] On Day 99, he was voted by his co-housemates to be evicted, unknown to them it was only a fake eviction.[10] He then stayed in a secret room inside the house. He was joined there by his co-housemates Daniel, Jane, and Vickie in the following days.[11][12] On Day 103, he was once again nominated together with fellow housemate Jane after losing their InstaSave task against Daniel and Vickie.[13] On Day 106, he was evicted from the house after getting only 31.16% of the total votes against the 68.84% of the total votes for Jane. He was the 13th housemate to be evicted.[14]
After PBB
After his stint in PBB, he signed a contract in Star Magic together with his other PBB housemates.[15] On September 13, 2014, he made his acting debut through Maalaala Mo Kaya together with teen actress Janella Salvador. He played the role of Hiro Mallari.[16]
