Manuk Hergnyan (Armenian: Մանուկ Հերգնյան) is an Armenian economist, venture investor and social entrepreneur. He is the founder and managing director at EV Consulting, a leading management advisory and corporate finance firm in Armenia as well the chairman of Economy and Values research center, the partner institute for the World Economic Forum's Centre for the New Economy and Society. He is also the co-founder and managing partner at Granatus Ventures, the first Armenian venture capital firm investing in early stage high tech startups. Manuk is an active contributor to the innovation ecosystem development in Armenia, currently serves on the boards of Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises of Armenia, Innovation Center (formerly Microsoft Innovation Center). Manuk was also a founding CEO of Vem Radio & Vem Media Arts and produced 12 films [1]
Manuk Hergnyan is also the co-founder and member of the Board of Trustees of Arar Foundation and Pahapan foundation, early supporter of “Ayb” school. He previously served on the Industrial Council Adjacent to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Coordinating Council of CANDLE Project.
At Yerevan State University Manuk Hergnyan taught strategy as well as the first blended learning course ‘Microeconomics of Competitiveness’ developed by Harvard University professor Michael Porter.
Manuk Hergnyan holds an Executive MBA from Oxford University, Ph.D. in Economics from Moscow State University after Lomonosov and MA in Economics from Yerevan State University.
